Apartment 1B can sleep three people in the bedroom. It is a ground floor apartment to the rear of the building. Entry is into a comfortable living room in a cottage style. Two chairs and a 2-seater couch, inglenook fireplace, TV etc. complete the sitting area and there is a 4 seater dining table and chairs. The room has a warm, homely feel. The apartment has a 36 inch smart TV, full HD with freeview and Amazon Fire stick for catch up TV (BBC iplayer, ITV hub, channel 4 and 5), DVD player, video recorder, CD and cassette player, radio and clock radio/alarm.
Beyond the lounge is a large fully tiled kitchen, which is very light and bright. The full size cooker has 4 top plates, separate grill and large oven. There is an integrated fridge with 4 star freezer box, a dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen has direct access to the laundry room which offers the use of 2 washers and 3 tumble driers.
The bathroom has new suite, new shower and cubicle and fully tiled walls with fresh, light, glazed tiles. The floor tiles are fitted with luxurious under floor heating.
The bedroom is reached through the bathroom and provides a super king size bed with new, deep mattress. It has mirror door wardrobes cupboards and dressing table. A clock radio/alarm and hairdrier are provided.
For those requiring to sleep more than 2 in this apartment, an extra, pull-down, single bed can be fitted in the bedroom and a king size sofa-bed in the living room.
This apartment has direct access to outside space in the back yard which is partly covered, and has relaxing chairs which can be in the sun or shade or under cover. The fir trees in large pots and the artificial grass add to the relaxing atmosphere.
There is also an alternative entry via the back gate and the door into the bedroom of 1B. By using this back entrance, the need for social distancing is reduced, as there are fewer guests using the front door. There is a parking space at the back gates, just 5 metres from the bedroom door to the yard, so it is easy to unload luggage on arrival and for re-loading on departure.

Normal bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time preferably by 2p.m., check-out time by 10 a.m.
To make a reservation request please contact us then this will be recorded in our register. Please then immediately send a deposit (non-refundable) for £100 for each week reserved.
For the Great North Run week (Sept 8, 2018) the balance is due 12 weeks prior to arrival.
The reservation becomes a firm booking on receipt of your deposit and an official receipt is sent to you normally by email. The balance is due at latest 4 weeks prior to your arrival. Payment is by bank transfer or UK cheque.
